Name: Vicky Isliefson
Age: Not quite ready for AARP
L1 English, intermediate French learner.
Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Education, both in Canada.
Introduction to Teaching Online professional development course.
Taught developmental algebra for 10 years in US.
Substitute taught for 5 years in Manitoba.
Role and Responsibilities
Currently, student and grandma. Previously, taught a departmentally determined curriculum and participated in course development.
Digital Skills
Android smart phone user and Windows- and web-based PC user. Computers and I have grown up together, so I try not to let them get too far ahead of me.
Relevant Skills and Knowledge
Adult educator in a college setting.  I can work with a set framework of requirements, but continue to improve my instructional methods and develop relevant resources.
Motivation and Desires
As a recently repatriated Canadian, I would like to help newcomers discover and learn about Canada as I re-discover it myself.
Goals and Expectations
I am looking to re-enter the teaching environment after a devastating life event.
Obstacles to Success
Occasional lack of self-motivation.

Avid learner and compulsion to be a helper.
